Hello, my name is Mark Bliss. BlisScout started several years ago as I got frustrated with "the then" current technology to break down game films—not to mention that the price for football scouting software was too high for my school's budget. After talking with several coaching friends, I decided there should be an alternative to high priced football scouting software—besides, the majority of those applications did not provide the results I wanted. As a coach, I knew exactly what I wanted. Armed with personal experience, and an army of other coaches willing to provide their 2 cents, I contacted the only person I trusted with this new venture...my brother. Within weeks he created the first version of BlisScout. Several coaches looked at it, and they wanted several changes made that would enhance the capabilities of the football scouting software, and make it easier to use by "bone-heads" like myself. To make a long story short, after several beta-versions and thousand downloads from the internet, BlisScout 2.0 (now known as BlisScout-O) was born. The next step was to set a price tag. That was easy...make it cheap! Other software makers have claimed that they have set the standard for pricing...not true; my company will always beat their prices. Ever since BlisScout hit the market, other football scouting software makers have dropped their prices...and we continue to beat them by dropping ours. Recently, we had our software analyzed by an independent company to see where it ranked with our competitors. Their suggestion was that we should increase the price of our software because we have our price set too low ($200 too low that is) for the quality of the product and what it produces. My answer, “thanks, but no thanks.” I always knew we had a great product, but I didn't know it would get such a great response from outside sources and coaches world-wide who owns a copy of BlisScout. This is my promise to you...we will always sell our product for the lowest price we can that will outpace the other guy. Why...that is simple. I am a coach, just like you, and I know how much we make. I will never take advantage of our profession—I love it too much! BlisScout is a football scouting software made BY coaches FOR coaches. My brother is the brain behind the coaching algorithm; I simply added the syntax to make the application run. There is one other person who I would like to say thanks to...that is you. Coaches like you have put countless hours into helping BlisScout be the best football scouting software on the market today. Without your input, we would be just another kid on the block.
